West Ham make move to sign Kvaratskhelia as January asking price revealed

West Ham have made an approach for Rubin Kazan attacker Khvicha Kvaratskhelia ahead of the January window, Football Insider understands.

Premier League clubs including Everton and Southampton are targeting the Georgia sensation, 20, following some electrifying displays for club and country.

A recruitment source has told Football Insider that West Ham have enquired about what it would take to lure Kvaratskhelia next month.

Russian outfit Rubin Kazan are believed to be seeking a fee of around £13million for the exciting youngster.

He has a contract Kazan that runs until the summer of 2024 after signing from FC Rustavi in his native Georgia in 2019.

West Ham are in the market for a forward player in January, but it is not guaranteed they will sign an orthodox centre-forward.

Manager David Moyes could instead move for a more versatile operator who can play anywhere across the front line.

Kvaratskhelia, who tends to operate on the left side of the attack, has an impressive five goals in 12 games for his country after making his debut as a 19-year-old in September 2020.

He caught the eye of talent spotters with two goals for Georgia in their 2-0 World Cup qualifying win over Sweden last month.

Kvaratskhelia has explosive speed and is renowned for his directness and ability to carry the ball forward long distances using skill and pace.

He impressed last season with four goals and eight assists from 23 league fixtures.

In the current campaign, the Georgian has scored once and supplied three assists from 17 matches in all competitions.

Kvaratskhelia had an outstanding game vs Sweden recently scoring twice. Looked very lively but tbh that's the only bit I've seen of him. Might be a good investment for the future but I hope we prioritise a goal scoring machine forward tbh

“ He impressed last season with 4 goals and 8 assists in 23 games “

Whoever wrote this shit is easily impressed.

This player has scored 19 goals in 83 games, sign him and we have another Haller or Yarmolenko on our hands.

I’d rather sign Ben Brereton.
